There is no minimum order value. Every product has its own minimum quantity instead. Minimums run from 2 to 24 pieces depending on the product, and most are 6 or 24. The minimum counts pieces of one product across its colours and sizes, so a mixed dozen meets a minimum of twelve. It is printed on every product page.

Open a trade account with your business name, what you sell and where you are. Every product then shows its trade price, and you order every colour and size of it in one grid.

Pieces in stock are checked and packed in 2 working days. Pieces made to order take 14 to 21 working days in our Nairobi workshop. Each product says which it is, and the expected dispatch and delivery dates are shown at checkout before you pay and printed on the order.

By debit or credit card through PesaPal. Prices are in Kenya shillings, and buyers outside Kenya see and pay them in US dollars. You can pay in full, or pay a 50% deposit to start the order and the balance before dispatch.

Within Kenya we deliver to 171 areas across 47 counties, each with its own price and delivery time, worked out at checkout from where you are and the size of the order. Outside Kenya, orders go by DHL Express, priced on weight at checkout. Collection is free from Kenya Kanga Collection, Langata Link Complex, Langata South Road, Karen, Nairobi, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Yes. Aprons, oven gloves, towels, robes, bags, cushions, napkins and placemats can be embroidered with a name or a logo, which is how lodges, hotels and companies brand their Maasai shuka, kikoy and kanga pieces. 68 products can be embroidered at the moment, and each says so on its page. There is a floor price per piece, and the final price is confirmed once we have seen the artwork, before anything is made.

In Nairobi, Kenya. Kenya Kanga Collection is the manufacturer: the pieces are cut and sewn in our own workshop, not imported for resale. That is also why colours, sizes and quantities can be made to order.

A kanga (also written khanga, and called leso in Kenya) is a light printed cotton rectangle with a border, a central design and a line of Swahili, traditionally sold in pairs. A kikoy (or kikoi) is woven, not printed: a striped cotton cloth from the East African coast with a knotted fringe, worn as a wrap and used as a beach towel. A Maasai shuka is the thick checked cloth, most often red with black or blue, that the Maasai wear as a blanket, which is why it is often sold as a Maasai blanket. Kitenge is a heavier wax-print cotton sold by the metre for tailoring. We work in kanga, kikoy and Maasai shuka, alongside towelling, fleece, Malindi and Indian prints and hand-woven sisal.

Early. Anything that is not in stock when you order takes 14 to 21 working days in the workshop, plus delivery, so shops that want Christmas crackers, stockings and decorations on the shelf in November order in September or early October, and large quantities earlier still.
